New Blogger Intro

Not like there aren't 864175654518975 blogs out there to read, so what in the world would possess me to start one of my own? Honestly, I have no clue! I don't pretend that I will be able to offer some stellar and stunning insight that will make readers think "A-ha! I now hold the keys to the secrets of the universe!!", but I do want to work on my self discipline and this seems like a good way to do it.

So, who am I?

~ I am a Wife, although I have never been very good at that particular part of my "job". I am often impatient with my husband and definitely don't show him the appreciation he deserves. He is a wonderful Father and husband who works very hard for his family - despite our lack of thanks to him. I love you honey!

~ I am a Mom, probably first and foremost. I have been blessed to be a full time Mom since my eldest was born in 1992. I have 4 wonderful children ages 16, 14, almost 9, and almost 6 - they (and their Daddy) are my raison d'etre, my reason for being - my joy......

God has been very good to me!

~ I graduated from Germantown High School in 1989. I was a total rocker babe back "in the day" although as the Mother of teenagers, I have been informed that I no longer retain any coolness that I might have laid claim to at any point in my life........ Did I mention my children are my joy?!?!

~ I am a Catholic Christian. I love my Church and am working diligently to learn more about it and my Faith.

~ I am a Daughter - my Dad, Step Mom, and assorted siblings live in MS. My FIL lives in the Houston area. My Momma passed away almost 2 years ago and I struggle daily with the loss. She was my best friend - we did just about everything together. She helped me maintain my sense of balance in a rocky, uncertain world. My goal in life is to be 1/10 of the Mother that she was. I miss her so much!!

~ I am a Sister - my wonderful sibs live about an hour away. My middle sister is a Paramedic in Memphis - her entire life she has been the embodiment of the phrase "Dynamite comes in small packages"! She is my hero! My baby sister does this fabulous balancing act between raising a beautiful family and working full time - she is my hero!

~ I am a Friend and have been blessed with wonderful friends, both here locally and online. I thank God every day for them and for my family!

Ok, so that is just a brief intro to me and mine.

Tune in tomorrow to see if I remember to update my blog ;-)
